Emily is a former professional ballet dancer with over a decade of international performance experience. She began her training with the Royal Ballet Associate Programme before continuing her studies at the English National Ballet School, where she trained for three years. Upon graduating, she joined The National Vanemuine Theatre in Estonia, where she enjoyed a successful career as a soloist for over ten years, performing leading roles across both classical and contemporary repertoire.

In 2023, Emily won the Dance Award for her acclaimed portrayal of Tatiana, recognising her artistry, technical excellence, and contribution to the company.

Having lived in Jersey for almost two years, Emily is now an active member of the island's dance community, teaching a variety of classes through JLPA and Step 55. Drawing on her extensive professional experience, she is passionate about inspiring and mentoring the next generation of dancers, helping them to develop not only strong technique but also confidence, artistry, and a lifelong love of movement.

Emily's teaching philosophy is rooted in a holistic approach to dance education, combining technical training with an emphasis on body awareness, well-being, musicality, and creative expression. She believes that every student should feel supported, challenged, and empowered to reach their individual potential.

Committed to enriching Jersey's dance community, Emily is dedicated to helping JBA grow into a thriving environment where dancers can flourish both artistically and personally.

Alongside her ballet teaching, Emily is a licensed Silver Swans® teacher through the Royal Academy of Dance and is currently working towards her yoga teaching qualification, further deepening her understanding of movement, embodiment, and well-being, which she brings into her teaching practice. She also holds a Bachelor of the Arts in Professional Practice with a focus on embodiment with Middlesex University.
